Comark Bike Counter
The non-intrusive solution for urban mobility
- Applications: Bike Counter, Laser and Radar Sensors
Comark Bike Counter is a high-precision laser solution for detecting and counting cyclists and pedestrians. It is the ideal tool for monitoring urban mobility and evaluating the impact of green infrastructure.
Accurately counts and distinguishes between bikes and people, including direction detection for a complete overview of flow patterns.
Non-intrusive solution that requires no road works, significantly reducing installation time and costs.
The system can provide raw data for third-party integration or communicate directly with the Tattile software interface for an all-in-one monitoring experience. Laser is the only technology capable of accurately identifying and counting individual cyclists and pedestrians within a group, enabling advanced group detection and ensuring precise data even in hightraffic areas.
Bike counter ensures privacy and anonymity by detecting only user outlines without facial or personal data, complying with strict privacy laws.
Optional LTE for seamless remote data.
Comark Bike Counter uses laser technology to detect bicycles, pedestrians and e-scooters. The emitted laser beam is used to scan on four parallel planes at an angle of 96° and is able to accurately identify the profile of the bicycle, e-scooter or pedestrian.
The laser detector is able to:
- Count bicycles, e-scooters and people;
- Classify between pedestrians, e-scooters and bicycles;
- Detect the transit direction.
Compared to other simpler counting systems, Comark Bike Counter is very accurate in detecting bicycles, pedestrians, and e-scooters even if they transit in groups. The sensor performs continuous scans across the width of the cycle path and is able to discriminate individual bicycles even if they are very close together.
The detector has been designed to work outdoors, even in adverse weather conditions.
Available in three configurations:
- Laser with Stand-alone Totem: high-visibility, all-in-one solution for permanent bike path installations;
- Display + Laser: real-time feedback to citizens, encouraging sustainable mobility;
- Laser Only: compact, discreet sensor for integration into existing street furniture. This solution is composed by a LSR200BC laser and the CO1010 control unit.
