Case History: Harbor Logistics
CUSTOMER: One of the most important crane manufacturer for harbor logistics
THE SCENARIO: Our customer unloads containers thanks to an automatic crane system.
After that the containers are loaded automatically on trucks for its final destination.
THE PROBLEM: The cranes used needed a vision system to detect the container's angles for a precise handling of the same, avoid damages.

SOLUTION & TECHNOLOGY: After preliminary visit on site and after a feasibility study, Tattile decided that the best way to work was to install N° 6 cameras for each crane.
Four of these with a resolution 1400x1000 in B/W, each one of them pointing at one angle of the container, while the remaining two color cameras are mounted on the two sides of gripper in order to verify the presence of people in the working area.
CRITICAL SITUATION: the project has highlighted some problems. First of all the cameras need to work under any atmospheric condition; the second, the working site presented many IEM interferences.
In the first case, Tattile decided to design and build a special housing, while in the second case we equipped each camera with a IEM noise filter.
