Application
The system is able to check:
- Mastic presence
- Quality of mastic (Homogenous, oil, bubbles, etc.)
- Positioning
- Defects on border
The system, thanks to high speed camera (grab time <6ms) and an lighting system able to strobe under 0.03ms, was configured to inspect up to 180.000 pcs/sec (50 pcs/sec), with a speed of over 3 meters per second.

Capsule Inspection System

Application
1. The first system is able to check:
- Quality of external profile (egg shaped degree)
- Excess or lack of material due to faulty injection
- Presence/absence of engraving
- Internal Assembly: presence/absence of gasket, disk, etc.
- External Assembly: warranty ring
- Internal Cleaning degree
- Presence/absence Intruders
2. A second control from the bottom is responsible for print checking or surface defect, and many other custom inspections.
In this case the piece to be inspected is kept still on the rotating table via a vacuum system. This architecture allows the complete acquisition of the base of the piece, without having to use glasses which could need a regular maintenance.
Inspections performer by the second vision system:
- Surface quality (cleanliness, shape, distorsion)
- Presence/absence of the logo
- Printing position
- Printing quality
- Mixing
The vision system can perform all the inspections so that the machine can run as fast as 105.000pcs/h. the management of the whole system is done by an easy-to-use customized GUI, installed on an industrial PC with a 15” touchscreen.

Our customer is one of the most important player in industry of bakery products. He had a problem on his product line, many products presented some burns on surface.
The application was realized thanks to our Partner with our Smart Reader M0 Antares.
Thanks to his experience, our Hardware and Antares IDE we was able to recognize the defects in the order of millimeter generated during the process, in this way we solved the problem of our customer.
